ipod cable for alpine

I just bought a new alpine and I was wondering if the IPOD cable would work with another brand of mp3 player? Has anyone tried? thanks for the help..

yes we tried it with one and it didnt work. but thats the only one we tried. i dont think they will, but hell i guess its worth a shot

They won't work, they're made to work with iPods only. Pretty self explanatory.
