i was gonna get one yesterday but the line was over 100 people long and i doubt they had that many phones

indeed. i threatened in the store to cancel my contract, they did nothing.

i stepped outside, called customer service, explained the situation, threatened to leave them, they helped immediatly lol.

and when i went back in the store, they gave me a free holster for it for the hassle lol. in the end, they made the situation right, but ATT has a HUGEEEE problem on their hands...

most of the people that did customer fullfilment last friday were not elligible to recieve the phones at the price they were sold at (me included) . so they are about to have alot of pissed off people on their hands. the customer service rep i spoke with said that he would still give me the billing credits whether i chose to buy the phone or not. i was pleased in the end //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

so far its pretty awesome, definitly an adjustment though... the touchscreen is really cool and intuitive, but it does take some getting used to, and im still not there yet. not having buttons is kinda weird, but i like it.

was just reading back through this thread and saw this...

why would they offer you a rebate? its a new phone, not the same one. they dont owe you guys with the original iphone anything IMO.

you can use music purchased through itunes as ring tones, but not other music you have.

well there is a website that you can use that will take any song not purchased with itunes and turn it into a ringtone for free and yes it works with the iphone, i have done it!
And 3G is definitely faster than edge.... probably 2-3x faster. Just wish ATT had better 3g coverage, but i'm sure that will come in a few months!

im in a 3g area, and web browsing is amazingly fast. it is just as fast as my wifi connection on my laptop.

the only drawback is that 3G really does **** the life out of the battery. but downloads, web browsing, youtube, anything else over the net is amazingly fast for a phone/device.

Yeah, I have a website that i'll give out to a few people who pm me... it works with like 98% of phones and all you do is choose the song, choose the starting point, then set the duration. The only downside is if you want to use the free version you have to "stand in line" so it may take a few hours before you get your ringtone (through MMS, email, or d/l over phones web browser). You can also pay for the express service through paypal ($1) and get the ringtone in like 2 minutes. Either way, it's free, and who really needs a ringtone within a few minutes. I'll wait 2 hours to have it for free!
