You can use the G-Park application to kind of solve that problem. It won't work, though, if you're just wanting directions from point A to point B. It gives you turn by turn directions back to the spot where you've left a GPS flag.
I think there's an application in the works that will completely solve the problem for you, though.

i dont know for sure though, either way if i wanted turn by turns, id have an integrated GPS in my car rather than trying to use my phone. might be nice on a road trip with a co-pilot i suppose.

After you drop the G-Park pin, you hit the "Where's my car?" button and it will give you turn by turn directions back to it. Admittedly, I haven't used this feature...I've just read about people who have used it.

No, but supposedly there is one in the works. If she can just type in 2 addresses and then look at a picture of the turn and directions for each turn, she will be fine. If she actually wants the phone to say, turn left in 1/2 mile, etc. she would be better off with something like VZ navigator.... my .02

yea it's available but, my phone is on SunCom which means it needs to be unlocked. and if i update to 2.0 i will "re-lock" my phone to AT&T only, which means i'd have 2.0 but i couldn't recieve any calls or use any of the services.

you can use music purchased through itunes as ring tones, but not other music you have.

you can use your own music. chop whatever song you want up no more than 40seconds long and under 4mb(i used Audacity). then convert it to AAC(iTunes will do it) then go to where ever the new converted file is saved then change the extension from .m4a to .m4r. Now when you add that file to your playlist it will fall in the ringtone category. Then just drag it to the phone.

it is jailbroken right now, so you can add your own apps etc, but they found a few bugs with the unlock so they are still working out the kinks i believe.
