So I had an Iphone 4s with Verizon.. One day it wouldn't charge and went dead. It wont connect to Itunes either. (guessing the dock connector is broken)

I ended up saying **** Verizon and went to Virgin Mobile and bought an Iphone 4.

Now is there any way to get all the stuff from my broken iphone to my new one?

If I connect the new iphone to itunes will it restore all my old iphones things onto the new one?

It wont do anything at all.

I just plugged the new Iphone into itunes and it gave me the option to restore from my old iPhone. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
If you can't power it up, you can't do shit with it, idiot.

How ever, if you were backing up your 4s to the iCloud, just log into your account with the 4, and everything will reload. It needs to be plugged in and connected to WiFi to work.
This made me smile :)

What you went through @Popwarhomie ; is the exact reason why I stopped having an Apple product as a daily phone. Relying on the Cloud to store your vital information opens you up to a lot of potential issues if something like this were to occur and, say, their servers were down for repairs or whatever legitimate reason you could think of. My GS4, on the other hand, not only does automatic backup to the Google Cloud, but I have the opportunity to make a complete backup of my system and all of its partitions either to the phone itself, to an external SD card, or via Keis software on the computer (God I hate Kies, I wouldn't recommend this). Additionally, so long as I use Titanium Backup, I have my phone automatically backing up all apps, all settings, all logins, all passwords, etc at a time I so choose. That way if this phone DOES poop the bed, I can just remove the sD card, insert it into the next phone, and restore the nandroid and pick up exactly where I left off.

Btw, it's not my intent to start a Droid vs iPhone war as each phone has its own merits. The CA industry LOVES iPhone, after all, and reflects it in device support. But one thing it's still tremendously behind the curve on is its backup system. I can't count on both hands how many times I've been refused an iOS update because of a server issue or my version of iTunes wasn't current or any various and sundry amount of reasons. But their UI is by and large one of the most straightforward and easy to pick up in the industry.

Ive owned 4 different droids.. Had problems with all of them.

But I do hate how the iPhone doesn't have a memory card you can remove.

BTW I get better service with Virgin Mobil than I did with Verizon now.. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

You might have better service, but you still have an iPhone.

Try cleaning the charging port on the iPhone. Sometimes so much debris from your pockets get in there and they wont connect.

You have an Ipod touch //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

Tried that the day it broke. No work.

I bought a new dock connector and I'm going to pull it apart and swap it out and see if that works. If not oh well I already bought a new phone.

Nope I dont. I got rid of my Apple devices and replaced them with a Samsung Galaxy S4.

for the record, you do not have to use icloud to backup an iphone. i backup mine to my laptop with the usb cable every night as it charges. i am not an apple nuthugger, but my iphone does everything i need it to do. thats more than i say for the three android phones i had before going to apple. i honestly would go with a windows phone before going back to a droid.

I have Apple everything and I just can't imagine ever switching, I have no issue with Android personally - Apple needs something around to keep them honest.

I just prefer their eco system much more over Androids.
