I'm not much of a fan of Apple. I've tried numerous times to get used to their OS, and it's full of unnecessary items IMO. I have NEVER had an iPod.

BUT, the iPhone is sweet as **** IMO. Quite a few of my friends have them, and if it was usable on Verizon, I'd get one. It works exactly as it should, and does things in a manner that makes sense, which IMO is something I rarely see on a phone.

It's not perfect, but it's better than any of the other shit I've messed around with.

Yeah my friend hacked his, its apparently really easy. He has tmobile too. Plus you don't technically need the data plan because it comes with wifi, so you can just use the wifi for internet use.

ok, so i was debating on buying myself one for christmas, but im being told i have to purchase them at an Apple store, and that in order to get it i have to get a 2 year contract with at&t. but i already am with at&t and cant get another 2 year contract right now...ive called both at&t and apple and have just gotten the run around..
at&t-"well we dont sell the iphone here you need to call the apple store at northpark and talk to them."

Apple store-"well we actually dont do the service here, you have to contact at&t for that, and without the 2 year contract the phone is basically a paperweight."

so wtf is up with this shit, all i want is to buy a g**** iPhone.........

if you already have att and you are planning on upgrading to the iphone you will have to get a iphone contract, which is a rip off, like someone suggested, get the 8525 or the tilt, you can get the iphone interface on the tilt or the 8525 with some tweaks...

werd, plus the 3rd party apps and teaks are endless for ppc's, i happen to own thw htc mogul, and i had the iphone interface on mines

I don't hate apple... I think they make some damn fine products. But I've used Macs and PCs, and neither strikes me as being so much more amazing than the other. But people who own Macs turn into stuck up douchebags.

They are exactly like JL. I like JL's products. They're really nice, sound great, are underrated, and are very high quality. But, they aren't any better than many other audio brands. However, the average JL fanboy is a complete tool.

Moral of the story... JL = Apple.

You're doing the same thing from a different angle. That's the point Jason makes, as I see it.

The iPhone is okay...not quite what I had hoped but it's one of the better multimedia devices in the US and encourages other developers to keep up.

To the original poster: at what stage are you in your contract? How much do you pay per month? When was your last upgrade?

I use new iMacs regularly, and theyre nothing special. I'm not too big a fan of OS X.

Also, I feel you're trying WAY too hard to be right..

There are tons of other items JUST like the iPods & iPhones, they're just MP3 players & smart phones/media phones.. that's all.

Apple just does it better, they have a better name & guess what, they'll never be forgotten.

They're the ones responsible for making MP3 players big.. they are the ones that blew it up.
