inverting in a ported box?

i have 2 12's in a ported box right now and i wana invert them, will inverting them make that much of a difference being that you will gain a little more volume, also could it de-tune/wreck the tuning frequency being i changed the volume?

i dont perceive any problem w/ reversing the subs....its mainly personal preference....the added volume should be nice...good luck

I do that with my 15", Dont notice any change, but the structure of the sub looks tight!

thanks guy, would you knwo if you have to reverse to polarity on the sub? i just wonder because i think ive heard it metioned before

if im not mistaken you would only need to do that if you had one facing foward and the other outward....but try it both ways and see which sounds better
