internship interview tommoroww... tips?

Well tomorrow I have an interview with Analog Devices. Some of you may have heard of it some of you have not.

Its for an Electrical Engineering intership position and I guess the are looking for freshman in college.

They already know that I have no experience in the field or any working experience at all yet they are still giving me an interview. So I am hoping I am the perfect candidate.

The only thing in my way is the interview which is probably the toughest part in getting the job, correct?

So for those that have been in similiar situations, help me out with some tips. I already got the appearance thing outta the way. What else?

walk in spewing confidence, look them strait in the eye and make them feel like the company will go under if you are not there.

Doesnt matter if you do not have experience they want to see how you will carry yourself.

You probably know this but always make eye to eye contact when speaking and when spoken too.Goodluck!

I usually explain how interning is great because I can simultaneously apply skills learning in the classroom to "real life" work experiences while having a much greater appreciation and understanding of the thoery learned in class. Interning is an excellent way to simulatenously experience both sides of the coin. Furthermore, I can bring some of this theory to work to find more effecient and effective ways of doing work. (ie you take something from them and take it to class, while you bring ideas from class to work)

--comments like this...they already know but it helps them think that you have thought the whole process through and understand how both parties benefit.

Don't forget to be formal in your speech and how you handle yourself during questions.

Avoid saying such things as "umm", "uhh", "like", etc.

firm handshake and speak clearly, also press your pants with a seam and make sure you dont wear white socks with dress shoes. lol

i'm an hr manager and i hire employees. one of the first things i look for is if the person seems to be shy or loud and outgoing. i tend to hire shy people because they tend not to cause any trouble with other employees or management. i also like people who are themselves. don't come into the interview and start talking like you are smarter then you actually are. i also like quick answers. there is no perfect answer. don't kiss *** either. i don't need employees hanging off my dick. i also look at job history. if they have bounced around i don't like that. i know some people are young and don't have a long job history, but if you have 9 jobs in 2 years it doesn't look good. just a few things i look at when hiring someone. an internship is different because they look more into academics. atleast mine did.

like they said, be confident - i know you will be nervous, but think of it this way, that dude who is interviewing you - has already said "this kid looks like he is worth it" because you are being interviewed. they have already said yes to you once. and also - that guy - is just that - a guy... a normal dude who goes home at night and relaxes in front of the TV and drinks a cold one. so remember, these people arent anything special - they are just seeing if you are confident enough, and knowledgeable enough, and above all, not a brown-nose and\or a douschebag. be courtieous and awnser the questions liek you are talking to your best friend.

ive never "not gotten" the job i had an interview for. so far, thats a fulltime 20k\yr + benifits computer graphics job, circuit city roadshop installer, and ( i know its lame but) outbound telecommunicaions representative (lol - fancy way to say telephone sales)

just be posative, and walk in believing theres no reason for you to not get the job.

haha, j/k, i get your point though. I am definetly going to be nervous going in their but i'm going to be as confident as I can be, but not cocky.

whats the best way to introduce yourself?

maybe something like this?...

me: hi, you must be "interviewer's name".

(shake hands -firm grip)

me: i am "my name"... pleasure to meet you...

something along those lines?
