This is my situation....
I'm currently planning the instal of 2 Kicker l7 15 inch subwoofers with an Orion 2500d amplifier into my 2003 Escalade SUV. I want to keep the factory head unit and the factory amplifier. For this part of the install I will be using a Peripheral #GMAA Harness.
Now the second part is I know that my Midranges and tweeters will not be loud enough after the subwoofer installation and I plan on either using the JL Audio clean sweep or similar device or Line output converters from stinger to convert the bose amplified signal to low level signal in order to be run with a seperate amplifier and the nwire that amplifier into the bose speakers.
I noticed that I had 2 speakers all the way in the back corners of the truck. How many channels do I need in order to run all the speakers in this truck? I know that the front tweeters are connected with the doors and run as a single channel but do the ones all the way in the back run off the rear speakers in the door or do they have their own seperate channel, which means I will need a 6 channel amplifier to run this truck.
My reason for keeping the lbose amplifier is because I want to keep the stock head unit and all the chimes and the signal processing of driver, normal, spacious. things like that, this isthe reason for going this route.
Thank you for your comments and all help is appreciated.
