my mids and highs are all stock at the moment... with my system i have a lot of focus on my substage... one day when the money flow is better i'll be working on the mids/highs

Yeah you really need to upgrade your mids/highs. You don't have to spend a lot to get louder, just if you want better SQ and better imaging.

My $60 polk coaxs sound great (to me) and keep up with my bass for the most part. I have an amp to put on them, but waiting to upgrade my electrical more before I put it in.

I'd go ahead and throw it in just to keep heat out of the HU, and even if you put like 5 more watts per speaker you'd clean them up tremendously. Mids are super efficient yo.

do you think i'd notice a SQ difference if i just threw in some decent coaxial's unamped?
