Instead of using 6" ports could I...

OK I had some plans made that included four 6" aeroports. Since each one is $50 that would equal to $200 for ports, I dont got that kind of money for ports. I was wondering if I could just go with eight 3" aeroports and get the same tunning and every thing as I would with four 6" ports?

I did this and came up with the same answers:

Pipe: 6" x 10" (long) x 4 (quanity)= 240

Pipe: 3" x 10" (long) x 8 (quanity)= 240

Would it be the same thing??

Thats what I thought and said but people said its not the same. They told me to do some thing to the PVC pipe to make it into a flare end.

go to lowes and get some 6" pvc and make ur own flared ends.

or u could just switch to 4 inch tubes recalculate the tuning for 4" instead of 6" go to partsexpress website they have everything u need to make your own flared end tubes or u could just buy the aeroport knock offs they have will cost u $50 per 4 ($12.50 each)tubes and are 4"x 17" if u wanted/needed 8 ports cost will be $100+s/h
