****...i cant ever get this stuff to stick and actually stay there. i live in florida so i didnt think heat would be a problem... so it must be a problem with what im cleaning it with. what are u supposed to use to clean the surface?

I always used alcohol, the green kind. And are you using something to roll it with? One of the little wallpaper rollers will work wonders, and Ive also heard of people using a spoon.

using alcohol based solvent cleaner (mineral spirits) to clean the metal works great. i used windex. just get the shit off the metal.

you really wanna heat the stuff up before you apply it. get a heatgun ($20) at your local hardware store and shoot the piece for 20 seconds then try it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i almost lost a thumbprint //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif

I use laquer thinner when i build engines to clean surfaces and silicone sticks real good. Thats what i used on my door panel and it worked great.

do i need to be concerned with the brown/orange stuff left on metal once edead has fallen off. what is that stuff jus adhesive and does it need to come off?
