I'm installing a pair of Pioneer TS-173CI component speakers mated to a Pioneer DEH-X7800DAB head unit. The passive crossover look like this;

I'm new to this but all the pictures/diagrams I've seen about crossovers have an input from the h/u
and separate outputs for the woofers & tweeters.
As far as I can see on my units the input goes straight to the woofer then somehow back to the crossover and then out to the tweeter.
The head unit has separate outs for woofers and tweeters so I'm presuming I connect both to the bare cables on the crossover.
How can this work?
