I drive a 2003 Ford Escort ZX2. It has the factory installed stereo with a CD player. I am hoping to install a stereo input adapter so I can play an ipod through the existing stereo. I’ve found input adapters like this:

Do these sort of things work? Is there one that is better than the others? Do you have any suggestions on what I should use? It does not matter to me whether I can charge the ipod. Also, I have no knowledge of car audio installation. Is there somewhere I can get a tutorial on how to install these? Can you provide me with any advice? What tools do I need?
