Luckily the shops I worked at were pretty high end so we didn't see to many ghetto installs rolling through. Some of the installs were fixed were done by Unique. Seen a couple hack jobs come out of there

A Ferarri came in with a "custom" install by Unique. A prefab JL truckbox reupholstered and screwed through the floor with drywall screws. Can't recall exactly what the other ones were but some shady wiring and mounting and stuff like that

why the piece of wire between the butt connector?

lol. one day I had a brain fart and actually switched the white and purple speakers wires. The customer came back to see what was up, fixed the wires then ended up up selling and installing new speakers for them.

it was mentioned in CA&E but they didnt mention the previous shop. but you described it down to a tee on what was screwed up.

Ah now that you say that I remember where I saw that one. That one wasn't fixed at my shop. That one came into Rich's Car Tunes when I was going to audio school there. Fishman redid it I have pics of it somewhere
