well i just installed a capacitor a few days ago. my system isnt really that loud to begin with but ever since i installed the cap its no where near as loud anymore. i figured i just messed up installing the cap or something. any suggestions on what could have gone wrong?

How did you wire the cap? I don't really see any way for a cap to reduce voltage to your amp. Did you do anything else along with installing the cap? Change any settings or levels?

a capictor is used as a band aid for a system and my guess is your factory alt isnt strong enuf to charge the system let alone the system and the cap... get rid of the cap and add a battery / alt

i got it more just for looks and i figured it was going to be useless (even though my lights dont dim as bad anymore). but i also charged it to 12.6v before i put it in. i think im just going to return it because i agre with lilmaniac2
