Ok I installed the Head Unit about 3 weeks ago....the only special thing I had to do was to re-run all the wires because the 91 grand marquis had a factory amp....the head unit worked just fine until I unhooked it to install subs....I installed two 12's and now when I try to turn the head unit on it wont turn on....I know it has power because it took one of my cd's....but it wont eject it out.... what do I do...

qti same thing happend to me,When you were doing your subs did you undo your battery? My battery died(left the lights on) The head unit would power on after i recharged my battery but It wouldn't eject the cd.

Unplug your cd player from the back, And go eat dinner or something come back and plug it in then start up your car see if that works.Thats what did it for me

wait your battery died???? could you start your car? We can start the car and everything but the cd player wont turn on....yes i did unhook the battery...both neg and pos

No,battery was 100% dead it would crank but i had to jump\12volt charger it. Yea like i said take your radio and disconnect it from your car. So you could take it into your house with you if you wanted..So take off the wiring harness,Then go eat a snack\dinner and go plug it back in and fire up the car and see if that works. All your settings will be gone but it should work.

I dont think its connected to anything.....the only thing that we changed was connecting the RCA's and the remote turn on wire.....Everything was fine before.....do you think I should try connecting the amp turn on to the power anntena....

No, not at all but you need to reset your radio because you undid your battery,Go outside and undo the wiring harness form the battery,Its the Black plug that is on the back of your radio with all the wires in it,Just unplug it and wait like 5-10mins and plug it back in,See if that works then come back and post.

Well thats not the problem...the battery was never completely dead...it started up just fine.....so I dont see how disconnecting the HU and charge the battery that was never dead will help anything...thanks for the help but I think we had different probs
