Took me about an hour or hour and a half(had to hookup remote start, run tach wire, run wires for two mercury switches, etc...).

Yah it's pretty good on the remotes.

I heard the same thing about the 881's remotes... thats why i went with the 871.

The mercury switches are mounted on the rear trunk lid and on my hood. If the hood is open the car won't remote start and if the trunk is pried open while the alarm is activated it will go off. should be able to get them at any car electronics shop or like radio shack.
