Installation Problem, Help...

I was installing my new head unit, and did not disconnect the negative battery plug. One of the wires hit the metal part of the cd player and suddenly made a spark. After the spark, my interior lights went out and the sound when the key is in the ignition did not make the sound anymore, and last but not least the cd player didn't have any power going to it.

What could be the problem?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

I would say a blown fuse at a guess. Check the fusebox.

I agree...i had the same thing happen to me on an earlier install before...check both under your hood and under your dash for fuse boxes and check them out...hopefully an easy fix to your problem..

Take this as a lesson learned......ALWAYS DISCONNECT THE BATTERY WHEN WIRING CAR STEREO EQUIPMENT!!

I agree, sounds like a blown fuse. Locate the fuse for the radio in the cars fuse box, replace it and enjoy!
