Instalation Prices, WTF ..

I go to a shop called speakerbox depending on who is working at the time the install would be 70 to 100 dollars, however when i got my tweeters installed they did it for 20 bucks n cracked my dash i was pissed, Sad to say though the best install your going to get is the one you do yourself.
thats is complete bullshit the mjority of the jackasses on this site can install for shit. obviously you havent looked through the build log section.

you know what the hell he means, come on now.and saying that was just fukin halarious...wtf.lmaoand no..not at all. it was strictly "were not giving you a price before u tell us what car you have so we can profile your *** and price you depending how much cash you have based on your ride..)90% of them are fuckin pieces of shit.just like anthonys car audio sellin me a crappy *** flea market style 4 gauge amp wiring kit for 70 bucks..that was before i knew to much about car audio btw
I would think that different installs take different amounts of time.

Do they not cover damage to vehicle during installation? Or did you go to a cheap place with no recource for such issue?

I guess many issues with install shops etc ...

Work is so cheap up here I don't even like working....lol

I'm not an employee (friend) nor have we got the big brands just yet but up here its definitely affordable.

I'm talking 30 bucks an hour. most of the time it never pans out but gotta keep the Car Audio alive around here I guess.

Nowadays pockets are small and you can't get your money out of anyone in this area.

idk who the hell buys a stinger amp wiring kit for 150 bucks but cool!i paid like 25 bucks for some knu 1/0 then u can buy some used rca's for like 10 bucks..then a thin stretch of wire and some fuses..blam
ok, you know that but you have to realize typically people that dont install their own stuff pay retail. you paid 70 bucks for a flea market kit but you cant see why someone would pay 100+ for a quality kit? clearly at one point you were just as stupid as them.

you think everyone that is into audio knows who knu, FI, SSA, Sundown, etc is? you clearly dont understand business and the concept of markup....

again, its a business not a charity. i dont see you calling companies like dell, hp, gateway crooks because they charge 2 grand for something you can put together for 300-500. thats right, do you realize you can build a computer a hell of alot cheaper than buying in the store? same thing..... retail markup is a *****

I go through this everytime I get new gear, I get lazy and wanna drop my car off at a shop. Soon as they quote me, my @ss get un-lazy and I do it myself. Expect for dynamating my trunk, I let them do that..
