Did I say you said it? Nope. I, notice, I compared them to RE. RE was an online, direct to consumer company, then went the dealer route before being snatched up by USAmps. The prices went up for the direct consumer, and were roughly a few percent more expensive at the dealers than the old direct prices. Like I said, if there is a dealer in your town, it's not so bad, but for people like me, who don't live anywhere close to one, we suffer because the only way we can afford to buy said products is to order directly, and, because of the MSRP/direct prices, we can't afford them. You see my point now? How about I say that if AA keeps prices reasonable, then they are nothing like RE? Would that make you happy? I only made the comparison because the last time an online company that everyone loved went to a dealer network, they became completely unaffordable to the common man that doesn't have a dealer in town or close by.

There's a difference between speculation and observation. I did a little of both.

And better products than previous offerings is a good reason to raise prices. But it's not a reason to switch from a system you've been using very effectively to something that might actually kill the brand rather than help it. How many people do you think are going to walk into an Ascendant authorized dealer and buy their products? If that's the brand the shop decides to push, sure. But if the Ascendant products are competing against JL, MTX, RF, Kicker, etc, it's not going to be a very fair fight for the Ascendant products, as 9/10 times the "name brand" will win over the little guy, both in the consumer's eye and the shop's, as they are the ones making the profit on the product.

I wish Ascendant the best, I just don't want them being the next RE.

I'm a retard for mentioning something that RE did with horrid results for the main people that gave them the company they are today. Tell me, would you rather pay 5-600 for a XXX15 or the 1200+ that they are now direct? That's what I thought. And sure, you're going to pull the "It's cheaper at a dealer" card. The point is, they were an online company. All of these people bought directly from them, supported them, made them what they are. Now, if they want to buy direct, they pay a jacked up price because RE thought that the dealer network would be better. It's better for the end user when purchased there because of the knowledge of product, sure, but when it comes to dealers, not everyone has one in their city, let alone state, and not everyone has the time or money to travel to the nearest RE dealer.
