i have pioneer 860mp which have 6.5 volt preamp outputs and sub amp (tsunami GXA1000D) input range is .4-4.0v. would it be reccomended for me to get some of those harriosn labs voltage attenuators or just keep a low gain and be fine. i rarely turn it past 20/35 but i do use loudness, bbe, asl and about +1- +3 on the bass eq curves.

Don't worry about it. The deck isn't going to output 6.5V unless you are playing 0db sinewaves at full volume. During normal listening, you will be well under 4V. Jut follow the gain setting tutorial and set the gain like normal.

You'd think if they were going to commercially sell sine waves, they'd atleast do it right.....
