Input sensitivity on Crossfire VR 404

I just got a brand new Crossfire VR 404 and on the amp I noticed that it has an input sensitivity switch for 2 options X1 and X3. On the website X3 is for 450mV-9V and X1 is for 150mV-3V. I have a Kenwood Excelon X692 (excellent head unit) which has 4 volt outputs. When connecting the RCA's to the amp should I set the input sensitivity switch to X1 or X3?

never heard of anything like that before.....those ranges seem really big to me, also.

set it for the 9v input.
