i need some opinions on the box that i am going to have built i was going to have them built out of solid white ash with 1cubic for the sub and they are rf power hx2 and i have to of them i like rockford so i got their biggest sub i could and i am going to get the bd1500 to push them (the eclipse are nice i looked at them they pounded hard as hell but i dont like the metal sound that they have but other wise i would have went with them) i am also thinking of a solid oak box and have a thin layer of pine fir or some other soft/mid dencity wood in the box so it has better overall bass and not just lows well any info on the box would help the box at this time is going to cost around 300 just for the wood i also have a disposabe income of 300 a week so any info would help im new at this and i am jumping up faster than i should but i dont care i just want bass

Why are you building your box with expensive wood? If you want a look, use veneer over MDF. MDF is cheap, machines well, and is great for veneering. If it braced properly the only advantage to real wood is weight. The density of wood is not going to make a difference in sound, unless you build a terrible box that flexes, which isn't very likely.
