Do The Shivas have better SPL then the Alpine Type-Rs?

never actually seen a side by side comparison.....but both subs are predominatly sq subs....so spl is kinda not the issue if your wanting spl

Compression does not imply that it will not get any louder...

It's also rated at 650w, not 300...

then my info has been off.....sorry....thought i had read it was 300 watts.....was also told the compression caused it not to get louder....sorry again....edited my info to be correct.....
