Ok I have reference components up front and 2ways in back (don't laugh). I already blew one of my mids and I think one of my rears are blown too. It plays the music but it's like rattling.. blown? I really think it's my amp that's been giving me the problems to begin with (profile, again, don't laugh). I need CHEAP REPLACEMENTS. I'm probably gonna replace the profile with a tsunami or avionixx (75/85w). What speaks? I really don't wanna spend much...no more than 250 for components AND rear coax... I was thinking about the entry level cdt's, focals, and mb quarts... Just something with a silk tweeter that's smoother than my harsh *** infinitys

I have the infinity reference 6000cs comps in my wifes car and they are increbially loud with no problems.

well i'm not accusing the infinitys. I'm blaming my amp for this one. Clipped signals... Anyways, I bought everything off ebay so i have no warranty and if I get just the blown woofers from like circuit city or something it wouldn't really be worth it...so i'd rather just get rid of them and buy new cheap good replacements. My other option is to just get a new amp, replace the woofers from circuit or wherever (comes with transferrable 2 year warranty meaning warranty covers the rest of the existing speaks) and use the infinitys for 2 years. I was at their store the other day and listened to their references and i know they're beat to sh!t but they sounded waaaaaay better than in my car so I still wanna give them a shot. But my ears feel like they're ringing still from the tweets...should I set the -3db ont he xover? EITHER route i go, keep the infinitys and replace whatevers blown or get new speaks, i'm getting the new amp...so what would you do.

what are the specs and price on the re components btw??

so should i buy just woofers to replace the blown ones, get cdt cl comps front braxials back, focal access comps front coax back, re comps front whatever backs you guys think are good...all 6.5"

either way i'm gonna get a new 4ch amp so maybe it'll be the cure for my infinitys?

so no love for focal? is it between cdt and re then? If that's the case I'm gonna get cdt braxials either way for the rear and it's cdt or re for front comps

ok didn't realize the braxials cost like 5x the 2ways. are they 5x better cuz otherwise i'm gonna do some cheap rear fill replacements. AND are the cl-6x really an upgrade from my infinity reference 6.5 2ways??? theyre like practically the same price

I ran Infinity 4" speakers in my truck with a 150 watt JBL comp amp pushing those and Infinity Reference 6x9s. I ran then for about 3 years. Never blew one, never hurt one. They were loud and clear. I would go with Infinity for the price and quality

I don't think it was the speakers' fault. I'm blaming the profile amp for this one. i'm gonna get an avionixx, but I would still like speaks with better midbass. these infinitys aren't cutting it, and their tweets are making me go deaf
