infinity vs kicker

i am looking into getting new door speakers and i have 6.5 in the rear and 6x8 in the fronts i like kicker and infinity kappa but infinit is more watts 90rms compared to 45

i plan on hooking whatever speakers i get to a 350.4 kicker amp

does anyone have kickers or infinitys in their car how are they

if not tell me what is bout the best brand and size to get

these are the componets sets i am looking at 4 speakers and 4 tweeters with crossovers

i never heard kicker speakers but i honestly think you could probaly do better than both... and odds are you can probly fit 6.5's in the front with minor modification - at least 5's (i would suggest over oval speakers)

^everything i heard about kappas was far from great tho...

i may as well put it out there before anyone else does

everyone on these forums seems to be in love with PG rsd's and they can be had for 100ish shipped

ok well i want all four speakers some people just want fronts but i want all four speakers with componet systems so i have alot of highs thats the only reason i want the speakers are for highs

and i dont want to spend more than around 300 for all four

i want the speakers to be able to handle either the 350.4 or the 250.2 kicker amps

if you can find me the links to the speakers you are recommending

and also why do you not like oval speakers

well if you run the 350.4 in 4 channel mode... 60 watts isnt really worth spending the money in my opinion...

well whats the right power for the money that u think is right

the kicker amp that 350.4 pushes out 90 rms per speaker thats why i was looking at the infinitys they can handle that much

what happens if u power a speaker with too much rms than made for

but can you find me some of the speakers you said people seem to really like

yea it pushes 90 at 2 ohms... almost all speakers are 4... and it pushes 60 at that...

i know you wanna save money... see whats gonna happen is.. your gonna spend a little money.. and you're gonna love it so much you're gonna wish you bought better stuff.. then all this money you spent now will go pretty much to waste..

if anything buy piece by piece.. yea it might take longer and you might not be happy right away.. but in the long run you will be much happier....

and for not much more... im sure some ppl here can help you better than me.. you can do better imo...

and most quality speakers can handle more than they're rated if you know what you're doing.. and cheap ones... wont even do that... those are probaly rated about right...

example are my speakers.. they're rated at 100 watts... i put over 250 to them sometimes and they love 200...

ok well the rsd's only are 60 rms

the infinitys are 90 rms and they are 2 ohms so they would be getting for sure 90 rms the birtsheet says 417 so really they would get 105 rms

do you think that would be good i only want the speakers for highs only

what speakers do you have and amp you are running

and my jbl amp just broke today but should be fixed soon

the pg rsd's can take approx 150 themselves.. im about to go out in a minute.. but if you wanna shoot me a pm - i can help you look for stuff tomorrow if you want.

Most of the guys that are running the PG Rsd are giving them 125wrms to 150wrms daily and they love it supposedly. I will be giving mine 125 or so when i get them.

ok well when you get them and run that much to them let me kno how they do

but can they handle that much when u turn the volume up all the way

It's all in how you set your gains and everything else up man. Set it up properly and you wont have any issues. My pioneer deck volume goes to around 60 or so and I have it set up to where around 40 or 46 it's playing at max volume with out distortion depending on what kind of music i'm listening to.
