i know im a jackass but i cant help it. the other day when i was running my wires i thought i would throw in my old kappa perfects in because i didnt have time to build my baffles for the cdt's. i put those monsters in and they sounded like total trash compared to the cdt's. the tweets are so harsh that literally you'll need to see a hearing specialist if yopu listen to them for more than 5 minutes. zero midbass disgusting bat wing flapping into ten cans highs.

thats about it. components= garbage. with a dual band dqx they still sound like hell. infinity should be ashamed of themselves!!!!!!!!

I can feel for you when it comes to disapointing results from supposedly quality brand name components. Bought a set of Boston SL60's thinking they would be a step up, or at least just as good as my entry level CDT-CL60's. They cost about the same retail, and the BA's crossover was massive, dwarfing the CDT's passive. Boy was I wrong. The BA's sound like popcorn at half the gain the CDT's ran at comfortably, and distort terribly unless crossed over above 100k. I put my CDT's back up front, and am using the BA's for rear fill. My old Audiobahn components could handle more midbass and lower freq's than these SL60's can!

CDT CLs werent that much better then the references.....sounds like a bad install to me if the Kappas were that bad....EQing FTW

screw infinity!! i had the kappa's eq'd on a dual band 30 and it still sounded like hell. boy, i sure do appreciate my cdt es620's. the highs are so smooth
