Infinity Kappa Perfect 12.1- a few ?'s

I searched but couldn't find exactly what i was looking for on the subject...

I've heard great things about the VQ series, but what about the 12.1's?

From experienced users, did they sound really good and get decently loud ported?

Would it be a significant difference over the Reference series?

How do they sound sealed? decently loud or no?

I'm looking for somewhat significant increase in sound quality over the reference series 12 that i have now, would it be worth the 90 bucks it would cost me for the kappa perfect?

heh funny you ask. I talked you before about going with 4 1240'w sealed. I ended up going with four 12.1's sealed. Never heard them, the box is still sitting in my basement. Im trading two of them and selling the other two. i would keep it but the box is huge and most likely wont fit in any car i get. They look nice

i once hooked all four up to my receiver sharing 120 watts and it shook my walls quite a bit. i cant comment on anything else, but i hear theyre awesome and get pretty loud ported. Id say it would be worth it over the references. My sister has one 1240 off 300 watts in a 2 cu. ft. box tuned to 34. I might just do a swap out to see how they sound. Ill let you know if i do it.

wow, they took them off for a while, but now theyre back on.

thats where i bought mine for buy one get one free. 360 for four of them and a 3 year warranty. unbeatable its going to be hard to sell mine now
