First off this is something I pretty much threw together as a test unit to see how well the amp would drive the speakers in a box. It's crazy loud but the bass is lacking. I can't find a buyer for these odd sized 6x8s out of a scrap car sitting around and just wanted them to be of use. I'm gonna make it good looking once I find the magic combination.
Pioneer premier Rev 6x8s,
The amp is a 100x4 bluetooth class d board
The box is 37 3/4 long, 6 1/4 inch tall and 4 3/4 wide. It's got a small 1 1/2 tapered opening on the end.
Questions.
Should I make cutouts on the back of the box as if I were going to mount 4 more speakers and seal off the ends?
I don't have speaker specs and can't find any.
I'm kinda curious what a tline would do here.... I still want this to remain portable and I'm working on a bigger lighter 18650 battery pack, I've got a lot of 100 35a 18650 batteries I'm gonna get to experiment with. The amp accepts 14-42 volts, but I'm sure it regulates the power somewhere to a constant voltage. I want to find that voltage and build a pack designed where that part of the amp has to do the least amount of work. Better efficiency due to less heat loss right?
