Infinity 300 Watt Subwoofer Amplifier (311A)

First of all, I don't know a lot of things in sound systems.

That amplifier will provide me 116 watts RMS a 4 ohms and I just bought a 12 " Infinity subwoofer (300 RMS and 1200 peak) that works at 4 ohms.

I don't want to do any DB competition, just to have a nice sound system in my car with a lot of bass. Would that amplifier would be enough to drive my subwoofer?

eek, nah... grab a cheap 500+rms amp and set your gain correctly

the most you'll ever get out of that amp is the 116 watts you just mentioned. If the infinity subwoofer is single-voice coil then it will only operate at 4 ohms, so you're stuck with 116 watts... which is not enough.

way over priced... check ebay... my 400rms at 4ohm amp was 145 shipped new in box... and its 1200@1

it's in CND. and I suggested eBay, too.

Don't worry I'll take my time. I paid 40 CND for my Infinity sub shipped and it is in great shape.

The difficulty on ebay, even ebay Canada, is that most of the products come from the US and the breaking fees at the border line can be quite expensive.

So I'll just take my time and look for a nice ampli from Canada.
