indoaudio problems help

I got a set of the JL XR comps for christmas off of indoaudio.com and one of the speakers was damaged when I recieved them. So I emailed them and they said that I could return it and they'd ship me a new one. I did that and UPS confirmed that they had recieved it. However its been about two months now and I still haven't recieved my return part or a tracking number. I have emailed them at least 30 times and they keep telling me a bunch of bullshit. They have told me they have shipped the part out like 5 times but then change their mind nad act like they don't know what I'm talking about. Is there anything I can do to get my replacement part. I ahve tried to find a phone number for them but to no avail. Anyone had any problems with them before and had it resolved? If you want I'll send you the emails from them. Basically i just want to know how the **** I can get my speaker because I've been deprived of a front stage for long enough...

Thanks

Smells like BS to me. Sounds more like you may have found out first hand that sometimes the best deal is not the best deal. If this company is not a authorized JL dealer, which I assume they are not, then they will not be sending it back to JL Audio for warranty at all. Matter of fact, you may have no warranty at all according to JL. So this leaves you with a retailer that is not caring about you at all. The only option that I can see you having is to file a claim of some kind against them. I would return the balance of the speakers using the same RA# they gave you and get verification that they received the product. Then once they have it I would get and force a refund. If they are not an authorized dealer, you might be waiting a year and month of sundays for them to be able to find another set for you.

Jeez, that's a shitty situation. I'm glad they tried to charge me 45$ in s&h on 3 RCA cables (!!!) when i tried to order from them, or i might be in the same position as you //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif (i was looking at some mbquart's from their site but their insistence that it cost them 15$ per cable to ship 17' rca's to me was enough to make me look elsewhere)

Sounds like they sent yours off to jl for repair and are witing for it to resend it to you.
I used to sell JL Audio at a local shop and I agree with this comment. I'm sure they have some sort of warranty worked out either with JL or an affiliate to get the shit fixed in cases like this.

Indoaudio has always been excellent when I have ordered from them, and has even cut me deals through emails and not off of eBay...

That is terrible customer service...If they shipped you a broken product you shouldn't have to pay for shipping back to me. You shouldn't incur any extra charges at all and the problem should be resolved within a week or two. Good luck getting your speakers and I hope they really do ship them out soon.

I bought it through ebay. How do I get help from ebay to somehow contact them or file a claim?

In the last email this is what I said

Still haven't recieved a tracking number and indoaudio.com/tracking hasnever updated, leading me to believe the part hasn't been shipped. I

would

like my part sometime this year...
And this was there reply.

This really wont help you, but maybe it will anyone else who deals with indoaudio or other high volume ebay sellers.

I think its vital to keep everything in the same email, so they can see what they have already said. Always save your payment receipt emails and reply with them if you contact them about the item. This applies to all transactions, but especially when your dealing with sellers who do bulk ebay business. It would seem like its at most a few people taking orders, packaging, shipping, and providing customer service. The customer service they provide, will out of necessity be bad. You make the choice to sacrifice customer service to get the cheapest possible price. If you want great customer service find a good shop and pay retail. Don't be naive enough to think your going to get rock bottom prices and top notch customer service.

Ive spent a good deal of money at indo, and would again. But i would try and be smart about it; i also realize cheap comes at a cost. I had an amp i bought there go bad. Since i always save the payment receipts for everything i buy online, i replied to it asking how to get warranty service. It was about two weeks from the one year date, so i didn't really expect them to do shit. I'm pretty sure the ebay listing for the amp only said a 90 day guaranty but i figured fck it, it cant hurt to ask. They responded telling me to send the amp back. I replied, asking if i could pay the difference between the amp that broke and a different amp i wanted. They were cool with it and i sent the amp and $91 to them. They shipped out the new amp as soon as they had the $ and the broken amp. Id buy from them again.

ya, just keep after them with e-mails, i'm sure they have a LOT of online business to keep after.

also, def. check for a tracking number on that tracking number website they gave you, sometimes their e-mails got eaten up by my spam filter, and they'll give you a tracking number as soon as they get your payment, even before it ships, so you'll be able to keep track of when they ship it, AND when it's supposed to arrive.

it's probably just a way for them to show e-bay that they 'sent' the item right away if someone complains about slow shipping, but it's actually a good system, because you can just look and see yourself if it's shipped yet.

I've already bought over 1k worth of goodies from them, and just ordered my type-x's from them, i'd def. do business with them again.

Another thing i will say is this, i think the person in charge of responding to e-mails has no way of knowing what's going on in their shipping dept. so they really wont be able to tell you exactly when it ships, so they'll just keep referring you to the tracking # website, i don't think they're trying to blow you off.

Just use the tracking number website to make sure you're in the system, and i'm sure they'll take care of ya.
