I will admit the OG AQ's were of far better quality but the new ones are not flat out junk. I mean they are priced low and do very well for what they are designed to do. Is there better well yes but \that better comes with a much higher price tag..
I have also used DD subs and either they are slipping or the competition is getting better cause its very very hard to justify their price these days.

slipping? I didn't realize being the only sub used in the world record cars was slipping. I did a straight swap from the aq's to a single shocker sig and gained....

and the shockers cost the same.

Nope DD's prices just went up about 30-40% since 2008 , where as most everyone elses went up around 15-18% in the same time period, as far as dealer cost goes

Yep slipping.. IDC about burps nor does 99.9% of people that have a system. I have heard Danny Hays wagon (180+db) using DDZ's 100's of times at his shop so I know what loud is but even he will tell you the sport is dead and only a shadow of itself. So carrying the banner of loudest car is not what it use to be cause no one really cares anymore. People want good quality at a decent price its that simple. I know when I go buy a specific manf sub I dnt search around to see where there top tier sub ranks.

U running a z series??? If not then why do u care? Do u plan on only doing burps? Do you only wanna be able to play a 50hz tone? Your are not making any sense you are saying u buy your stuff based on BS that has nothing to do with the equipment u will be running. Just as long as u can tell ur friends I run DD's and they hold the record?? But yet you run the 2500 series. Kinda gay I think. And I am not bashing DD I would love some 9500's but I want buy them based solely on the fact that their other series sub holds record!!

nope I'm running piece of junk type r's until I get the ultimo's. Also 4 15'' ddz doing 160 on music is far from burps. What I'm getting at, is budget and $ per performance is all bullshit when all you have to do is save your cash and buy the best.

There is no best driver only the best driver for your application. 160 u say?? Hmm I know a few people doing very close to that number and they are not using $1400 subs. So that's not a good selling point. Nonetheless DD is good so is DC, SD, SSA, FI, etc. People should buy what is best for them not what some other guy you dnt even know is doing with said driver. Put the same subs and amp and box in both of our cars and watch how ,much of a difference the numbers will be so buying based on what someone else is doing is just fail.

If what u care about is bragging then I guess you logic is good.

Cmon u know the deal DD's the best in the world cause they hold the record so we should all just sell our equipment and buy DD cause why would u want to run second best. Just the same ole thing u know.

I would also run the IA just due to it being more unique not because its better then the AQ. I am willing to bet if both subs were put in the most perfect situation for said driver that they would perform very close to each other.. There might be some slight differences but overall the same.

LOL bro read before you speak I have ran DD and many on here know that and have seen them. Dnt be a child over this ok. Run what you run simple and easy. I go to a show I see 1 IA maybe but yet I see 10 AQ's. So that would classify them as being more unique in my parts. You are the one starting to sound butt hurt cause someone does not agree with you???
