Bl^2/RE is what most go by as far as T/S and motor force go , it can be very misleading if you don't use this method and even then there is a question as to how accurate the T/S parameters are.

Dustin do u know if AQ got their spider issue resolved?? I would prob run IA just cause you don't see them everyday. Also there is no perfect driver there is only the best driver for your needs. As far as saying dc's and FI's cant play loud in the upper freq range is just BS. U can make a $20 sub sound better and louder then a $300 sub if the $30 sub is put into the correct box. Its all in the box not so much about what name is on the dustcap

They now use the same spider that has been on the 18" HDC312 for the 15 and 12 now(also HDC4). Still the same material and such.

There have been several issues over the years. All I will say is even though the HDC4 and the new frame style came out there have been no changes other then a larger spider.

At one point there was a gap alteration but that was nixed and went back to the large gap.

^^ I actually like IA I just don't think calling AQ Chinese junk is fair cause they are not junk. They are not what I would run but that's not the point. I just wanna know where he thinks IA's soft parts come from?? Cause member all Chinese made audio parts are junk correct??

I never said all chinese parts are junk, I said AQ stuff is chinese junk.I've owned DD, the DD oemed aq, and the chinese aq. compared to the old US stuff the new stuff is junk.

It's not really just the quality of the soft parts it is the design coupled with the cheaper parts that can cause a problem, AQ is based off the same design Jassa @ DD has been using a long time , but the DD uses better parts .

I will admit the OG AQ's were of far better quality but the new ones are not flat out junk. I mean they are priced low and do very well for what they are designed to do. Is there better well yes but \that better comes with a much higher price tag..

I have also used DD subs and either they are slipping or the competition is getting better cause its very very hard to justify their price these days.

I loved my single 12" hdc4 which I had running on a sundown saz-3500d at .5 for a short period of time. It freaking hit the low notes like nothing even though the box wasnt tuned that low. It murdered on the the song "white girl." I had a guy jump out of my car screaming "whoooo" and saying "my chest hair felt like it was standing up and my chest was moving back and forth." That made my day.. lol Some guy the other day loved the sub so much that he payed me $600 for the sub alone. Now I just ordered two of the 12" hdc4's!
