In trunk box build for my civic.. pics!!

Alright guys.. now its time to move my 2 immortals to my civic.. but the biggest I could get into the trunk (building the box and putting it in) was like 5 cubes and some change.. but now I want to build it in the trunk.. where I can get some more space..

Now I wasn't sure how to position the subs to perform the best.. or at least be loud in there.. I made the first box where the sub was firing up and port back.. loud but not big enough for 2..

I could fire them up and port back but its gonna be huge, and might not perform well in the trunk with the box blocking passage to the cabin..

I could put them both on the face firing into the cabin (seat folds down) but where to port.. because I have like 34" side to side and thats no room for anything but the subs..

I was considering maybe one on the face, facing the cabin and the port on the face as well, and one firing up, as it would be one big box (heavily braced) and would fire through the same port and I would try and leave room in between walls and box so it would also pass into the cabin..

Not sure what you guys think.. I really wanna put both in, but without a wall.. trunk space matters nothing to me.. I just wont be building for a while as im traveling to wyoming to see some buddies, with some guys, and need the trunk for that.. what do you guys think?

Here are some pics of the trunk empty, and the trunk floor mat to give an idea of the shape, etc.. I will post up some measurements in a few and maybe you can help?

Thanks guys..

Same here, running 8.5 cubes net in the trunk of my Altima. I cut out some metal around the rear seat opening and slid the box in from the front. Subs/port fire forward and are sealed off. I have some pics of the build if you do a search...

Can you fire both subs through the seat opening and the ports through the rear deck? That may be a solution.
you mean as in opening my rear deck for the port to fire through, or leave it be and fire the ports at it? Sorry... just didnt understand, and haven't done anything with a rear deck before..

I found your build log and I must say very nice job.. I don't feel like cutting anything out back there.. but I will see what happens..

Maybe you would need to have a couple of 6" flared ports.
You mean maybe put them through the rear deck? That would work the way i think about it.. would that effect anything cutting a couple holes for them in the rear deck? Thanks..

Well it seems that your goal is to have the most spl you can get, and I really don't know how that it would effect the spl. I thought I would just throw out an idea. A 6 in diameter round port would roughly have 28 square inches of port area, so would probably need multiple ports all together.

Yea.. I just want to be loud as hell.. Im gonna run my 2400 at 2 ohms.. which will push roughly 1500 to the 2.. which wont be much, but will be plenty for daily.. if I want more I have more power I can throw at it if I want it.. still want to do what I can, and I know I'll be happy with it either way, just want to make it as loud, and as nice as possible..
