Ever tracked a car?
I can assure you, that while I do not think -7.5 degrees of camber is streetable (or even good looking...), it is well within suitable limits for a high performance track car.

Racecars turn corners at high speeds, meaning that the tires will lean significantly. Adjusting the camber lets these tires get maximum traction during a turn.

It's all in how you use it, at the end of the day.

Correct...the amount of camber I have is too much for tracking, but if I had about 2-3 degrees of negative camber it is actually more beneficial than stock.

You admit you are 'pushing the envelope' to be 'different', but anyone that disagrees with your style and mod choice is a 'redneck'. We dont have to like your attempt to be different to still have good taste. TBH, you are the one who is looking to fit a role, not everyone else. I agree with you following your view of what looks good, as Ive said many times before, but you posting comments like yours above only serve to be inflammatory and draw negative attention on yourself.

Id still like to know how a gross amount of wheel camber fits the profile of Japanese mafia, and their desire to be 'low profile'. You are big on us defining the VIP style correctly, so school us on how these mods fit the definition.

I'm not the only one that does the whole VIP style on their car. As for the stripper pole, why you hatin? Cos your mind doesn't carry the capacity to come up with something clever? It's for shows, and it's serves it's purpose, to attract the girls, media, and pretty much everyone to our booth.

I guess when one person rides high on 28" wheels and then a mass of others do the same thing it's completely different than many others going with the VIP style. See what I mean? No common logic.

You're reinforcing the point he was making. There's a difference between being unaware and being a hick. Suggesting 'most' people who dont like what you've already admitted you do to be 'different' are hicks seems to indicate you dont understand what being 'different' is all about. By your definition, almost everyone is a hick, as they aren't 'different' like you. Maybe Im just being contrary here, but it seems you are engaging in some circular logic. It smacks of a few guys standing around looking at their 'VIP'd cars, talking about all the negative comments they get, and brushing them off as 'eh just a bunch of hicks that arent cool enough to understand how cool our cars are'... which is kinda sad to be frank. Its dodging the possibility that you get negative comments because your taste in looks varies from most other people... the very idea of being 'different'. And you also seem to be of the opinion that if someone doesn't like it, they dont understand it. I think you are kidding yourself tbh, people can 'get' it and still not like it. But then, you are into the 'players' and 'haters' type of lingo, so I guess you have to categorize people very strictly to fit into your view of things. FWIW, Im neither a 'player' or a 'hater'... I simply dont like the look of the style. No offense, and not that my opinion matters, simply using myself as an example.

Why, when I ask what negative wheel camber has to do with Japanese mafia or their attempt to stay low-key, as you have defined this car mod theme, do you not answer, or answer by telling me to look it up myself? You clearly put a lot of effort into this discussion, why is that portion of the discussion off limits to answering? Is it because, as I suspect, negative wheel camber has absolutely nothing to do with mafia of any type, or with someone wishing to remain low-profile? I cant think of one logical reason why organized crime would need or want that specific modification to their car. It would actually make them stand out to cops, and actually hurt their ability to run from the cops if the need were to arise. Someone wanting to stay off radar would drive a non-modified vehicle that's seen on the road a lot under normal circumstances, not something modified into a concept nobody else uses. It would be like suggesting all rapists drive purple and orange cars so they dont stand out to the cops.

It just feels like an out-of-the-blue car mod whose owner is searching for cool sounding reason to justify an otherwise illogical act.

I'm not going to get into this as I have explained it before, so I'll be brief. It started with the Japanese mafia wanting to be low key driving a a sedan rather than something like a Mercedes or BMW. The style was adopted by others, such as enthusiasts. One of the characteristics is having large wheels with low offsets that sit flush with the fender. The extreme negative camber is just an addition to the style, most drive like that, either bagged or on coils....the whole point is to drive low, and when fitting on large wheels with low offsets, you generally have to camber quite a bit.

As for my lingo, it's certainly not that of just 'players' and 'haters' as you can see from my various previous posts. While I mentioned those that don't understand it are generally redencks, I'm sure that is the truth...and nowhere did I say that those that don't like it just don't understand it. There are several people in this thread that don't like it and do understand the purpose, it's not to their liking. Did you see me say "that's how it's supposed to be" to those people? No, I simply stated it to those that said things such as "why are your tires stretched so much" etc.

Never did I state either that those who don't understand it aren't cool, nor have I spoken in such a way. Never did I say this is the "cool" thing. If you would quote me on that and prove me wrong I would like to see that. As I've said many times already, I know some people will not like it and that is fine. And to those that don't understand why it's done, understand that it is a style, just as lowriders, etc. I don't see why it's so difficult for people to understand that. I'm not speaking Swahili...it's English.

*edit: and why I said search online rather than me explain, is because I've said it before. If people would do a simple search of what vip style is, they can find the answer in a matter of seconds rather than me have to repeat myself over and over then get told i'm forcing people to understand it, etc.
