Is it common and OK for the speakers mounted in the lower panel of your door to have the back side (driver part) get wet? Or are they dezigned for this type of enviroment? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

I had the same problem with my old car. I just lived with it because they were cheap speakers and I knew I would not have that car forever. But that being said, no it is not good. It caused the voice coils to act weird and not play right.

Depending on their excursion capabilities, Saran wrap would be a somewhat acoustically transparent material that'd work to keep water out. Just like sound deadener, layer it a bunch of times.

unfortunetly it is quite common and its not a good thing. I pulled my R5C's out of my truck and there was rust on the speaker. I almost crapped my pants. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/thumbsdown.gif.d22f25895e9b40f2300c953691dacfa2.gif
