in a ported wall: 4 15" L7s VS. 4 18" FI BL ... who wins!

OP- Almost anyone will tell you that the L7 will get very very loud, but not very musical in most cases. There are many sub woofer options out there that will let you get plenty loud and stay musical. Just need to know a few things...
1. Do you really want a wall or half wall? They do take a bit of work to install and if you have a shop do it you will be broke after wards.

2. What type of space do you have available for your options?

3. How much power do you want to use.

Be reasonable when setting goals. If your budget will not allow you to buy 4k watt amps then don't think about them. Budget and buy accordingly. Spending wisely and build smarter.

i would like a wall if it will sound as good as an upwards facing box ..or better. plus it would look ******. for power i was thinkin buy another hifonics 2600. giving each of the 4 bl's 1300rms.

i thought the wall would be sweet with a slot port down the center.

i was going to have a local guy buid the box with 1 1/4" mdf ($400-$600 to build) then slide the big *** box in the truck, and make the trim around the box to wall it off.

space: i wanna keep the front seats and rear seats(bench), but the 3rd row keep out! so i would use as much behind the rear bench.

also the box will be super duper braced and strong because eventually i will replace the bls with btls, when i can afford $3000 in amps and $2500 in alts and batts in more...

Do yourself a favor and stay away from the l7s. ive had l5s walled in my car before and they are just terrible sounding. stayt away from the squarez if you desire and crisp sound whatsoever

In my experience there isn't a sub out there that is musically better sounding than a Mach 5 audio mj18. That sub was the BEST most accurate sounding speaker I have ever heard. You couldn't find a drumroll fast enough for it.

it did sound good but I blew 2 of them off and never looked back
