imprint hookup

does anyone know how the imprint hooks intot he CDA-9887? I know there is a button on the front that efeats the multi eq, could i use the Imprnt with the H701 and defeat it when I want to use the 701? Or defeat the 701 when i want to use the imprint?

Itired to download the manual online and I can not?

hitting the multi eq will switch the imprint on and off. As for switching the 701, idk call alpine

The headunit manual says imprint can't be activated if you're using an external processor. There are 2 processors out from alpine that would fit here as far as I know. One has imprint and the other is the h701, which doesn't. You might want to look at the h701's manual for more details. The imprint manual doesn't have anything other than how to connect it to the headunit and use the software.

I would think if you connect to the processor using the rca-out from the headunit then you can use imprint but there would be no way of disabling the processor unless the processor itself has an option to act as a pass-thru. If, on the other hand, you use the ai-net then you won't be able to use multeq.

But then there is this button in the headunit's remote that can activate/deactivate the external processor....
