Pros: Small

Cons: Not powerful, doesnt hit the low beats

 

"I had this sub and i blew it 2 months. This sub isn't very powerful at all it can't hit any of the low beats. Now i have an alpine type r and im much more happy."

hahah no,ive ran that sub and it sounds terrible
its basically a rebadged tang band.

agian, people like to recomend stuff they have never heard of

I have not heard this particular sub in person, but have heard several elemental subs, and they have all sounded great for their price. Maybe you can try a couple of different box sizes, and positions in the car and it would sound better... maybe it wouldn't. But it still costs a lot less than the sony, and no matter what, I can't imagine it being any worse sounding.

i said the same thing about the Sony

I figured it was gonna sound just terrible as most subs do at BB/CC

but it actually sounded ok

Well if it sounds good to you, that's all that matters. Is your trunk really that small that you can only use a shallow mount sub? If all you are looking for is a single 10" sub, I'm sure there are plenty of other options that you can use a small sealed box and still not break the bank and have good sq. Plus I like to do everything I can to not support best buy. And if you have a nine.1 like your sig says, you have plenty of power to run whatever.

Yeah, I have an older flatcone e15A that I love, and had been running that till the 13Os went on clearance, so I wanted to go back to using 2 12's, so I figured the price was right, and I was happy with my other eD sub, so I figured for the price what the hell. Then I wanted something to replace my old HiFonics BX1000D and the nine.1 was a good price, then I wanted a new amp for my highs, since my punch amp wasn't that great, so I got the forum discount on the nine.4 and it matched the nine.1. I can't complain about my gear, especially for what I paid for it all, but had I found this site before I got all that stuff, I may have gotten something different from the classified section... but overall I'm very pleased with everything. Hopefully it will hold up for me... it's only been installed for just under a month now... but I don't drive but just a few miles to work everyday, and my girl drives us pretty much everywhere else, so unforutnately I don't get to jam out too much.

i have plenty of room. I could prbably do 7-8 cubes and still have trunk space

I just want something that is really small and leaves me room for groceries, spair, and whatever else I need.

So far I like them a lot, they were only $90 each after shipping costs, and I'm still working on getting the amp adjusted so it all sounds good. But in the sealed boxes they sound pretty good, they don't hit the lows like my 15A, but then again, they aren't designed to hit the lows as good as a 15A. I'm thinking about adding a bit more pollyfill to the boxes to see if that help, but after displacement they boxes are 1.27^3. I would go ported, but the trunk opening is pretty small, and I don't think I could fit ported boxes in there, but even if I could, I would have no trunk space left at all.
