Impressed with alpine type x 12

Today a buddy of mine and I tested out his alpine type x on my my ride and sure hit smooth as hell. For some reason I tend to like it more compare to my FI Q. The bass is CLEAN and does not sound as muddy, but the down fall is that it does not dig as low as the Q. I'm thinking about switching over.

What are the specs for the box on your Q? The Q isn't exactly an SQ sub it just happens to be a sub that sounds good lol..

Fi Q 12 Ported @ 32 Hz, 2.35 cu ft. and type x enclosure was 2.00 ft^3 of airspace slot port tuned to 32 hz as well.

I like the Type X over the Q.

Like Roux said, its not an SQ sub it just happens to not sound like total crap.

If it's not broke, don't fix it. I just don't see the Type X being that much of an improvement if any. But whatever the OP likes.
