I'm thinking of running an HDC3 copper 18" in a box of apx 13cuft@29hz.

I was wondering if my amp (BAMF5500/1D) would be alright with a load of .5ohms (D1 wired in parallel) after box rise. Anyone with experience with the copper HDC3's able to offer me some insight?

I have the OV1 5500, I run it at .34ohms daily, after rise it is sitting above 1 ohm anyways. Takes it no sweat

I have been running mine at .34 for over a month now. Taking it no problem

that seems like a huge box, that amp puts out about 2200w@1, i just built a box for my buddys hdc3 18 6 cubes tuned to 36 and we got it cut back to like 800w, its still breaking in and Im pretty impressed, cant wait to crank the amp to 1600w

i ran my hdc318 on my aq2200d @.5 ohm for a few seconds was a beast but dont have the electrical yet but sub took it fine. i say you should be ok if your electrical is. also box is way too big im 5.75 after dis @38hz
