exactly what it sounds like...when a subwoofer plays the impedence changes varing with frequency/box used

Yeah....for an easy visual. Go out and put a DMM on one coil of a subwoofer and push on the cone, the impedance will change. But alot of things cause impedance rise including enclosures.
