Impals SS Work Log Thread Thingy (im sorry 56k)

The trunk is big. I HATE THAT SPARE TIRE BUMP!!!! Werst idea EVER! I"m getting another 12.1 KP and I'm going to build a 5 cubic foot (net) box! I sould still have a little room loft over too.

Hopefully. Now I have to figure out why winISD wants to have the box 10' long on one side and I'm good.

nah, there are these little brackets that are part of the torsion bar thing for the trunk lid that are in the way, its as wide as it can be to within about a 1/4 inch

Ever thought about cutting them out and using shocks to hold the trunk lid?
yes, but i dont especially want to go through all that

UPDATE: popped the mold out of the trunk, had to use a crowbar though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif, and it looks good but needs many layer to come

what do you guys suggest as the best way to build up the fiberglass? req, you gotta have some input on this

that biaxial shit is strong as a MOFO. i got 100 yard roll of it.

basically, only do it on the INSIDE of the box, and lay down about 5~8 more layers, and make sure you extend 2~5" past the MDF where it attaches. you dont want it to pop off all of the sudden //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

basically just keep laying it down, it dosnt have to be pretty, but i suggest sanding all the huge dimples and hairs off (roughly) if it dries and you start laying more... they will only cause problems like air bubbles and stuff liek that.
