Imp Rise/Box Specs Question

I want 2 dual 2's as close to 1 ohm as possible, but my amp is 1 ohm stable and i am not sure if i want to go below. it is an orion hcca-d5000w. i'm figuring with imp rise the amp will be seeing .7-.8 ohm. how do you think this will go? these subs have been ok but seem to get hot at 2 ohm at 75%.

also, this enclosure i got with these subs seems small and i would like to know how much cu ft and what it is tuned at. is there a way to figure this out; ie. formulas?

you never took geometry? try one of the calculators online?

There is no need to worry about impedance rise; the amp will drive the sub just as hard across the spectrum. The impedance spikes are just natural system resonances and they are NOT robbing you of precious power from your amp.

i dont believe i have the electrical to do this if the amp will be seeing .5 from what you are explaining to me..

alright i found one.. from what i am calculating this box is about 1.95cu ft per sub so 3.9 combined. box is sealed and seperated, but how can i find out what it is tuned to?

i am also trying to find out why the box is bottoming out the subs.

A sealed box isn't really tuned. If it is built correct it should give you a flat response.
