Nothing Is Promised
http://www.caraudio.com/vb/showthread.php?t=131297

Ok that is the enclosure I am building now. Ran into a HUGE problem. I just threw the pieces of port and front baffle on just now to see how it's going to look. Well, the 2" port width I need has turned into ~1.5".

Here are pics: (Yes I know green has some issues with the cut but its a lil big so I am in process of sanding it down to make it nice and straight //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif along with other pieces...thats what I get for free-handing it with a circular saw)

Well now that my port is f'd up I measured the internal volume and came up with ~1.8cf now that the port is REALLY small. So how do I fix it? Can I just saw off about an inch from the blue piece and widen my port? Or what?

Fixed //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I would say yes but this would also cause you to move both green pieces and the orange piece back more to keep your proper spacing, and you would have to recalculate your internal cubic feet because i think it will change. I'm not totally positive on this but it seems like a logical explanation.

Well that's the only answer I could think of too. The pieces are exactly same size as my design. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif I guess I just **** at life. lol I don't get how it came out .3cf bigger and ~1" smaller port.

Heh, miscalculations and such can always happen. It's life as unfortuneate as it is things can always go wrong. But good luck on your endeavors and hopefully you can get everything resolved. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Well see all the pieces are exact to my design but I think I screwed the blue piece on design lol now looking at it. It was supposed to be 2" wide but oh well. I screwed it. But I can fix it

****...I did screw it on the design. Wow. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif I knew what I wanted and had it drawn I just made the blue piece too long on the design when I changed the port.

Gonna go fix it. Pics when I get it done.

//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/woot.gif.aaa6090e619a97b6090d16dd863c5a69.gif I had just written the wrong length on the blue piece on the design.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/blush.gif.99bc659ee2012b7d826165e26fb5eebe.gif It it 1.51cf now. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif Just like I wanted. The port is now 2" wide like planned. It's coming together nicely. Pictures later.

Agreed with this here. Since you have the unit pulled out of the car/dash...test it at your car battery directly for operation. very simple to do...

Yeah, put the probes on the power wire and ground wire of the amplifier. Multimeter on DC. Do not put it on the wires that go to your speakers. M
