Nothing to lose, except tons of time, energy, tithes, etc that could be spent helping mankind instead of wasted on church walls and pastors and etc...

And having nothing to lose doesn't make me want to believe anymore. Somebody can tell me the sky is falling and if I "believe" its falling I can live a life of joy in eternity. Sure there's nothing to lose to believe...doesn't make me any less skeptic though...

back to pascal's wager... in every outcome except the one where god exist's there are no negative consequences involved...

in the outcome where there is a god... if you believed it you are in heaven instead of suffering for eternity... so it seems kinda stoopid to reject free salvation

I think God is trippin me out. the way I see it, I believe that the theory of evolution is a test (by God) to separate the theists from the non-theists.

Why would he test us if he created us? I don't know, but i'm not taking any chances.

i don't waste any of my life believing, i don't tithe, or go to church i have my own views on whats right and whats wrong... i believe that it's impossible for a god to not exist and thats the only thing about religion i would emplore ANY of you to believe... because man is ultimately fallable, so no man can give you the absolute truth... the best you can do is search for it and thats what i'm doing

but i can not with conviction say it's possible for god not to exist

I believe in God and I'm also a christian. There is lots of proof for creation. There is actually scientists that have proved evolution to be false. Lee Strobel is one of them. Kent Hovind is another good creation scientist. Look these guys on google and maybe buy some of there books/dvd's. You may not be convinced but you will definitly learn something.

i'll repeat myself... (this is a breakdown of pascal's wager)

there are only 6 possibillies!!!!

1. you believe in god and you were right... good outcome

2. you believe in god and you were wrong, you lived your life a better person and in the end lose nothing

3. you don't believe in god and you were right. you lose nothing

4. you don't believe in god and you were wrong. BAAAAD outcome

5. you don't choose.. and there is a god... BAAAAD outcome

6. you don't choose and there isn't a god... you lose nothing

so it's just plain stoopid not to believe, when believing is a win-win situation
