Hey,

so there is a guy selling a CDT CL-62 comp set and CDT CL-61 mids. In the comp set, the xover has an output for the mid, tweet, and "imaging tweet". I know about the first two but not about the imaging tweet. What is that used for and could I hook up the CL-61 mids to that output? Everything will be getting powered by a pdx2.150. Thanks for any help. I appreciate it.

no you cant hook up the mid to the image tweet

its made for image tweets and the level control unit which is around 100 bucks or so and its made to just raise the soundstage of the music

you should mount the image tweets on your a pillars if you decided to do that

No do not hook up your mids to that output. It allows for a second set of tweeters. Like King Ranch said, they allow you to raise your soundstage if needed. The terminal can also be used to reduce main tweeter output by -3dB.

It's primarily a marketing ploy to allow CDT to sell an unreasonable number of uninformed people more product than they need. As was mentioned, it's an output for an auxiliary pair of tweeters which are supposed to help raise your soundstage.....which you don't need.

If CDT had their way you'd have 10 tweeters in your car.
