I can honestly say that ID is by far the best car audio company I have ever dealt with. The place is filled with hard core SQ guys who grew up in the lanes. How can you not love that business plan? Say what you will about the dealer network thing, they are having to deal with that head ache just like every other manufacturer out there.
The compromise between local B&M sales, and this 800 pound gorilla sitting in the corner we call internet sales, hasn't been hammered out yet. Growing pains in the business world due to the rapid expansion of the internet itself. Until someone comes up with a solution/working business model that keeps both sides happy, we will continue to see manufacturers locked in struggles like this.
