Ok I need to pick one or the other..

I am leaning towards the TS-W5000SPL

I've never heard a good pioneer subwoofer, but let me tell you- the IDMAX 12v.3 has AMAZING sq.

I can play anything you throw at it cleanly, and EXTREMELY accurately. I've never heard a sub play double kick so accurately. Not only that, they have decent xmax, and really nice cone area due to the surround.

Their sq is up to par with W7's.

To break it down, the pioneer will own the IDmax in SPL, and the IDmax will own the pioneer in SQ.

hmm dont know about that, idmax would put up a good fight with the pioneer in spl, i have 2 of them in a ported box tuned to 30hz and it get pretty dang loud

HAHAHAHAHA, that'd be the day.

I am forced not to own an IDMAX because they IMO are weak in output vs. some of the other super subs.

it weights in about 75lbs. I am going to put it in a civic I think Pioneer is the way to go..

Id max would be my choice but most people are out of stock. Pioneer goes for around 400ish. 2000watts here I come.

IDmax may not be the best SPL super sub but it is in top 3 for SQ. I highly doubt the pioneer will match it's SQ.

dude. if you want SPL, dont get that **** subwoofer. $400 each is WAY too much for one of them **** things. why not get some better SOUNDING & louder subs?

hell, why not get a freaking BRAHMA or XXX, eve a freaking DIGITAL DESIGNS sub for that price. even a incriminator audio death penalty?

Id max haha I might get that cause I am getting it for around under 500 for both ID max 12"... the pioneer is aroud 445 shipped..

You could probably find the idmax's for low $300's each new. They have unmatched SQ though, its just amazing. i've heard 2 12" idmax's before , only getting 650w a peice and it was rediculously loud.

XXX or brahma are about a step below the idmax in terms of SQ but they will get louder...

ID Max is my Choice.

But my friend has a Pioneer hes not using haha So I might just bump the pioneer till I get the ID Max.

IDMAX are amazing sq subs, i have not heard anything that hits notes like these subs, I just sold my two 15 adire brahma's and yes there is no comparison on spl but the 10 inch idmaxs just sound so much cleaner and still get decently loud.

After the two 15 i got tired of walking out of my car with a ringing in my ears, you just can't help but crank up those beasts so i had to down grade
