Please help, which brand has better quality and lower distortion sub? the id q series 10" or the ed k series 10"?

id say the ID sub would have better SQ then the ED, while the ED would win in the SPL category. Although the ED sub wouldn't be bad for SQ, the ID sub is slightly better.

Generally, for an SQ application, only one sub is used... if you look at SQ competitors, they usually run only one high-quality sub... a lot of unsponsored competitors use subs like one Focal Utopia 15. However, in your case, stronger SQ would be from a single IDmax.

IDMAX would be better than the K and Q in SQ. Although both the K and Q would have awesome SQ As well.

Both drivers are capable of sounding very good in their proper applications, but by virtue of having more displacement, the K series is going to manage more linear output than the same diameter IDQ, and also have slightly lower distortion at any given output level.

Other than slight differences in distortion and output, they are fairly comparable drivers, and with the proper enclosure, either can sound very good.
